Drawing from Wifredo Lam’s The Jungle, Ojú and Ewa
reimagine the interplay of human and plant forms through the
language of masks that speak of identity and renewal.
Handcrafted from beech wood, each chair translates this
dialogue into sculptural expression, Ojú with a mask-like face and Ewa with
lines that rise and twist like tropical stalks.
Together, they echo the abstract silhouettes of Lam’s figures,
carrying their rhythm into space, where movement and gesture tell a story.
Within an interior, their presence brings a sense of
ceremony, reflecting traces of Afro-Caribbean heritage through layered
symbolism.
