Animate Objects invites you to think out of the box and create an authentic place by offering a thoughtfully curated décor and collectible furniture. All products are made of honest natural materials carefully handcrafted in Istanbul, Turkey by the most experienced local artisans from varied fields. The brand’s main focus is to deliver soulful pieces to create animated interiors. Each piece is limited edition and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Animate Objects, founded by designer Zeynep Satık, is an Istanbul based
studio creating sculptural and collectible furniture with a focus on
narrative and theatrical form. Satık, who studied Performance Design and
Practice at Central Saint Martins in London, carries a multidisciplinary
perspective into a design language where form, material, and storytelling
meet with clarity and intention.
Since establishing the studio in 2022, she has developed a practice in
which objects take on persona and interiors gain a sense of staged
presence. Her limited edition pieces balance sculptural expression with
functionality, offering environments shaped by imagination rather than
convention.
Her work has been featured in leading international publications including
Architectural Digest, Forbes, Elle Decoration, Sight Unseen, and many
others across different countries, reinforcing the studio’s visibility
within the global design landscape. In 2023, she was named one of *Dwell’s*
24 Best Designers of the Year.
Her debut collection was shortlisted for the prestigious Créateurs Design
Awards in Paris in 2024, and her practice was featured as a case study in
Cosentino’s Shaping Tomorrow 2025–26 trend report, appearing in the *Wonder*
section, which highlights designers who challenge expectations and expand
the emotional possibilities of objects.
The studio continues to evolve through ongoing research and new creations,
shaping new stories along the way.
